As you can see I’ve been horsing around in the shop a lot lately. I was visiting the neighbors a while back and noticed the twins were using umbrella poles for horses. It’s one thing to wear a big cowboy hat and not own any cattle(from the saying “all hat and no cattle”) and quite another to not have a good horse to ride. The horses are made of pine. The mane is super soft yarn from the craft store as are the eyes. The halter and rains from the same source. The ears are the same fake leather as the halter. The main body is a mop from the dollar store. As the twins just turned 2, I hollowed out the inside of the head to reduce the weight as much as possible. There is a wheel at the south end of the horse to eliminate drag on long cattle drives. These horses are AKC certified.
