This is a dog house I made a while back for our Flat-coat Retriever, Eunice (I built it based on her dimensions). I didn’t bother making one big enough for our Great Dane because we just don’t have the yard space for a structure that size, and he prefers to sleep in our bed anyway.

This dog house is build on a pallet, which makes it easy to move. I framed it with 2×4s and built the siding with fence boards. The roof is a piece of metal roofing I got from Home Depot.

And how draft?? You like to sleep on draft too?? Cracks – to Close. And to make a window. It is necessary to Respect younger brothers and cares about their health.

I take it you’ve never spent a summer in New Orleans. The dog house is designed to be well ventilated and allow for a breeze. A closed in box with no “draft” would be well over 120 degrees.

Nice build! You can tell how much she loves it and I’m totally with you on the more ventilation the better. Need to get her a little wall mounted fan for July-September.

Nice job Willie. Eunice looks very proud of her new home. My Golden Retriever Benson (no longer with us) used to love the kennel I made him.
