We needed a riser to help this little electric fireplace visually fit in this space. The room is an addition to an old house. The chimney brick is original and is an actual chimney. The real fireplace is in the room on the other side of the wall. The tile on top matches the floor tile. We placed it on a 45deg to break upnthe parallel lines ofbthe floor and chimney. The pine siding matches that of the room. I wanted the logs under it for a rustic feel, but a bundle of firewood can get heavy, so I cut them down to 4-6” sections and screwed them to a back wall i added underneath. The “wood box” was painted black to aid in the shadowing. No one needs to know the fire wood is only 5” long. :) Came out great and mom loves it. Win-win.

It looks good! I like the way the tile layout looks. Nicely done project.

Very nicely done! Mission accomplished.
