I had someone contact me to make three frames for a six inch tile. This is what I came up with. I was afraid the width might be too much, but I like how they came out. Quartersawn white oak, through tenon and pegged construction. I’m shipping them in the morning.

Those turned out nice. What did you use for a stain and finish?

I don’t have the tiles. I hope the buyer will send a picture.
Thanks. I used a water-based stain followed by an oil-based and then a tung oil finish.

I used a hollow chisel mortiser to cut the through mortise.
