Not to sure about the name but anyway here is the latest piece I have been making.

Well at last managed to get something off the lathe after two that exploded and then this one having three attempts at colouring, I finally ended up with something I liked.
The wood I believe is holly and quite plain and it stands 7” tall and 3” at the widest.

The last picture is of one of the failed attempts

Glue those exploded pieces back together and you would have a rather unique, if somewhat less than watertight vase.

I can’t imagine you mucking up anything Derek, but the photo tells the story or maybe it was the timbers fault…

BUT the blue green one is first class, well done sir…

The colours are Jo Sonja Iridecent paints applied with a piece of scrunched up paper towel
