Ceder box from old electric poles.

Friend of mine had some large electric poles sawn into boards. They looked good as rough sawn boards but had no idea they would turn out like this. Never know what you get until you run it through the planer. Made it for a suprise gift for his wife. Simple design, little bigger than I would of wanted, but that is what he wanted. Put a small maple slider in it for some color and added storage. Can’t complain for using some recycled lumber. Adds to the story.

Ah! I suppose the cedar didn’t need it. That makes those poles a nice source of lumber.
