The Poor Man’s Gun Safe. Made from old construction 2×10s that I ripped from a remodeling job. The back is 3/4” plywood. I upholstered the handgun shelf with fabric from a pair of old khakis. Miniwax Light Walnut stain. Coated with some old polyurethane I had in the shed. I’ll eventually outfit the inside with some more storage- hooks, another shelf, etc

Only had to spend money on the hardware and stain. Fun weekend project.

Are those non-removable pin hinges? Can you just unscrew the top or is it screwed from the inside also? Just thinking from the security point of view. (Not that they have to be)
