I made three of these calendar frames (wife made the calendars) for Christmas presents a couple years back. I made one for my parents, one for my wife’s parents, and one for us. They made great gifts, but we are now locked into making calendars every year to go along with them.

The design came from a project I saw on Rocker’s website. The calendar shown was made from quartersawn white oak. I used wenge for the buttons and inlaid “W” which I added from the original design. A piece of sheet metal and rare earth magnets holds the calendar and plexiglass front in place. The bottom rail is attached with through tenons while the top rail is attached with dowels. Also, I routered a small indentation to hold a pen on the top of the frame.

Nice work. My wife does the calendar bit with the grandparents. I have not asked to build a frame, yet.

Great looking calendar frame! I definitely like the A&C styling of it!
