That is excellent. Did you have a pattern or make your own?

No patterns- both pieces, along with a coffee table that matches the oval one, emerged from my fevered brain. The table resulted from an offhand comment from my wife that it would be nice to have an oval table with a drawer in that spot. The rocker, which is “my chair” in the living room, was the result of my failure to find a chair I liked. I mostly made it up as I went along. While doing that, I discovered that getting a rocking chair right is not at all easy and made some modifications after I built it. Also, it was meant to have a seat cushion from the start but the back cushion and upholstered arms were additions.

Full disclosure: There are some purchased elements on the rocker- the lower, cabriole section of the front legs and the medallion on the crest rail came from Van Dyke’s. The rope molding was also purchased, however, since it comes in straight sections, I had to carve it into individual “bumps” to fit the curve.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.
