This is a Cherry bowl with a lid that was turned from “green” wood so it moved a bit after it dried. It had a branch growing through the piece I chose for the lid and it gives it a little wood “character”. This was bowl #6 for me.I turned the lid a few days after the bowl which warped out of round so I fitted the lid to the smallest diameter. Then the bowl moved again and the lid was loose. That’s life with a living product!

It is 9 1/4” diameter and 5 1/2” high.

It was turned in 2007 so it is a bit darker now.

I sanded it to 400 grit, then used EEE polish and finished with Shellawax.

Wonderfull turning. Love the knot charector of the grain. Turning green wood and haveing it move can be a big challenge for lidded bowls. But it keep life interesting. haha

Keep it up.
