This was a fun project for me full of firsts and learning accid…er, experiences! :) The base is pretty straightforward… I just bought some cheap HD cabinets, but beefed/ prettied them up a bit with paint, beadboard and trim. Now they are solid!

The top is made of clear Douglas Fir 2×6 with walnut dowels. My first time truly getting to use/tune my jointer. First time doing a large panel glue up. First time making/ using a router sled for flattening a panel etc.. Pretty happy with the results, despite the mistakes. Learned a bunch and that I have soo much more to learn! Thanks for looking… Feedback welcome.

Thanks!...No, the cabinets are fro HD. I bought clear 2×6 DF from a lumber yard. I knew I wouldn’t find the type of wood I wanted from HD :)
