Decided to use Steve Good’s patterns from Scroll Saw Workshop (http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/) and do the Twelve Woods of Christmas. I know it is April, but it is never to early to start.

I am lucky because just down the street from me is a very high end architectural millwork shop. I visit them often, and am a regular donator to their “beer fridge”. They give me cut-offs all the time. It is funny, what they put in the burn pile, any scroll saw person would pay for. The other day they gave me sepale, purple heart, rock maple and some walnut plywood.

Great job! Nice variety in the wood selections. Never too early to start planning – only 259 shopping days left until Christmas. I started in January (of course I do not use power tools so everything takes me twice as long, and I do most of my work outside so I have to plan for weather delays.) – LOL

Thanks for sharing,

Of course, it’s not too early. They look awesome, especially with different types of woods.
