Spinner Side Table

I made this small side table for my parents as a Christmas present. The coolest part is the drawer that spins out. This also turned out to be more complicated than I originally thought due to the drawer design. The splayed legs and body were also a challenge to align perfectly. The project is based on a Garrett Hack design.

Woods – Tiger Maple, Rosewood (accents), Macassar Ebony (cuffs), Soft Maple (drawer secondary)

Finish – General Finishes Arm-R-Seal

I’m a sucker for curly anything. Especially brunettes.

Anyways, how did you join the wood at the base of the legs?

What’s the story with the wood behind the drawer pull?

At first the socks threw me. The more I looked the better I liked them. I think the little detail behind the knob sold me on the socks. Love the drawer. Very fine build. Thanks for sharing.

Anything accurately modeled after Hack’s projects are typically attractive. I like this one as it is well done and nicely finished.
