This gadget demonstrates roller gears. The large wheel turns at half the rate of the crank handle. The plans for the model came from the book Making Mechanical Marvels in Wood.

I got this book a little while ago. I’m currently making a few of the single feed mechanisms for Christmas gifts. This was one of the other ones that caught my eye but I think I’ll work up to it. It looks pretty cool.
