This is a chess table with natural stone and marble inlaid in the surface for the playing area. The table top is a little over two feet across and the base layer is 1” thick particle board. The outer edge is oak that was stained black to retain some of the grain.

The wood inlay is premium pine that had an initial stain along the lines of a golden oak color. A second darker stain was applied on top of that to give it a nice redish, brown color.

The chess board was made up of natural stone and white marble tiles that were glued in place.
