I was asked to make a trophy platform by a friend for his annual golf outing. The actual trophy will be a bottle of craft vodka. He provided very little direction so I tried to get creative, something I am not very good at. I took some cherry slab pieces with live edges that I had leftover from a door I was making. Added a tee and golf ball and came up with this. The front was made to have a small inscribed plaque attached.

The finish is Watco Danish Oil and Briwax along with some gold paint for the golf ball. It was well received and I was adequately paid in beer and wings.
