This was my first father son project. It was his idea. I built a desk for mom and he wanted one too. So he designed it drew it out and everything. Picked the wood that was going to be used. And then when we hit the shop he basiwthrew the plans away and just started grabbing scraps and saying let’s put this here and let’s add this. He loves it I think mainly cause he helped make it. He knows it’s not the best work cause he said “yeah it will do, be when I get older and need new one we are going to make a better one . this project was done just for the joy of dude time.

That’s a great way to spend time with your son. I bet you’re looking forward to the next one already.

He’s 8 and now has his very own tool belt so he can help me with other things.
