I had a few logs left over from a tree I cut down and thought I would give it a go at making some spoons and a spatula.

Great job. I’ve got those on my to do list eventually. How did you carve out the spoons?

I used a flat milling bit and the dished ones are cut with a ball nose milling bit. I clamped the blanks into a cross slide milling vise and chucked the bits in a drill press.
