This was built for our local library. They will use it on their outdoor activity days.

I can’t take any credit for the idea, the original is here. The original was 8’ in diameter but we built this one 4’ in diameter.

The outer ring was created in 4 pieces to make it easier to store. Each gear rolls on three ball transfer units which are mounted into disks that sit above the body of the gear and hold the gear approximately 1/4” off of the sidewalk. Both the ring and the gears were cut from 1/2” plywood.
