I made several wooden balls with a router, for proof of concept. The method used allows creating wooden spheres with arbitrary size. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching. Here is the video.

Quite intersting video presentation. Finally, balls were finished by your method so obviously it’s working. I would never expect that approach.

I am surprised as well. The theory was sound but I was not sure it will work until the experiment proved it. The implications are interesting, since with this method you can create any size sphere. You can use different tools with this method and achieve the same result at different scale. In this video I used Belt sander and Router. Imagine how big you can make the spheres using skill saw or chainsaw. I am planning to experiment further with this method.

Thanks, I am trying to keep it interesting. Anyone can go and spend several hundred dollars on a jig to make balls. But where is the fun in that
