Very nice geetar stand, Junji. I’ve got about 4-5 geetar stands that I designed and built. Just haven’t got them posted yet. Kinda like yours in a way, except mine’s made of oak. I collect vintage Martin guitars(1940’s-50’s), and never have liked the crappy metal ones you find in music stores. Besides- the foam they put on those stands have a reaction to the nitrocelliuos finish on instruments. I had one—it got into the finish a little on my 1946 Martin D-28 Herringbone. So I came up with a design I thought would work—and it works good. I’ll try to get them posted so you can take a look and tell me what you think. Oh—and one other thing—my collection is protected by a company called Smith & Wesson!!!!! lol. What kind of guitar is that on the stand?
Looks like a Gibson, or maybe a Guild by the bridge and headstock. Looks old and played a lot—- like mine!!!

You have given me some great ideas with some of my dead standing Tasmanian Blackwood ( Acacia Melanoxylon) which is too small to cut into boards but perfect for something like this. They were killed by severe frost ( for around here) some years ago but remaining standing and are mostly still quite solid and look beautiful when sliced in half.

I think I will adapt this idea to make a violin stand!

Now I already gave up to rob your guitar, but I still wanna steal your design or idea!
The guitar in the photo is Taylor 710. Bought this one about 15 years ago, and sounds really good.
I always like vintage Martin, but I never had a chance to own one yet, (they cost me way too much for me)
I am glad to find somebody with the same idea, HATE THESE CHEAP METAL GUITAR STAND!!!
