Hi all,

I have finished my coffee table, the top is a Yellow Box (Eucalyptus melliodora) burl, the leg is Sequoia and the glass is 12mm toughened glass cut to size.

I used around 20 coats of Norglass marine varnish on the top of the table after flattening it and buffed it to a high gloss.

It is ready for a fitting christening with a great red. There is a blog at http://lumberjocks.com/icemanhank/blog/77282 if you are interested.

Thanks for looking.

I have added a couple more pics for anyone that is interested.

you did a killer job on this,i like the way you combined the glass giving the effect the table is cantileverd on a small base, something different.and that burl top is crazy cool, wish you would add a shot showing more of a top view.so pour the wine ill be right over, cheers.

Thanks so much pottz, I have added a couple more pics for you. The last one is of this table and the last one I made from a magnificent redgum burl, sadly we don’t have room for both so my wife will be choosing one and the other will have to go :-( . I like them both!
