Had a client come in last week asking if I could build two cabinets like the first photo, and of course I could. Then they brought in their sink and of course the plan had to change a bit. Then they wanted a little door so they could store things inside, and finally, could you get these both to me by tomorrow? Thus we end up with “On Demand Cabinetry”

These a simple paint grade cabinets made for wash stations at a beauty shop, constructed out of birch with chamfered corners. Its been so long since I did this style cabinet I almost forgot how to cut the chamfer pieces, but it soon came back to me. This was the first style cabinet I learned how to build. Makes an attractive corner treatment.

good fast or cheap….you did em fast, you did em good, I hope you didnt do them cheap….

oh yea…another favorite when I had my embroidery shop….lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Don’t get me started. The public has become so demanding that my job has become—-well, a job.
Sort of takes the joy from woodworking for me. That’s why I love my home shop. Then it becomes my passion.

Nice job on the project, especially in such a short time.

Very nicely done, James. I especially liked the chamfered corners. I assummed you used 3/4×3/4 stock splined into the cabinet faces, them chamfered with a router?

As has already been said, I hope you charged appropriately for the client’s level of prior planning!
