One of my earlier relief carvings. Done on a basswood Plank with the bark attached the deepest relief is about 1/2 inch. Plank is approx 1 inch thick. Enjoy!

Nice carving, relief caving is a lot of work. How many hours you have in it?

Thank You All for your kind comments. Relief Carving is what I really find fun to do as it seems to come easy for me.
I would guess I have about 8 to 12 hours of actual carving time, but really don’t keep track. I do it for the sheer enjoyment of finding what is hidden in the wood.
