My first woodworking project that involved my two little aspiring woodworkers!

The amazing part of all this was that building this together actually kept their interest for a FULL HOUR!

We wore our safety glasses, reviewed the rules “No touching anything! Ask as many questions as you want. Daddy’s workshop is not a place for playing.”, and put this together out of scrap lumber.

We’re going to paint it, I did all the actual cutting/drilling/gluing/nailing etc. They helped by tightening clamps, helping me “figure out” if a piece was going to fit, measuring (well, reading the big numbers on the ruler at least!) and deciding which tools we were going to put inside.

They want to paint it, so maybe we’ll tackle that next weekend, and I’ll post a pic of the painted toolbox!
