We have been using the same old 12$ set of steak knives forever and my wife was getting tired of them, so I figured why not make her a set for Valentine’s day!

For a strange change of pace I was on schedule to actually get her present to her on an actual holiday! I knew that wouldn’t do so I decided to mess up the original handles I made for these knives. This is version number 2 with a significantly different design than the first mostly because I needed to be able to get the glue up done in one night.

The woods I used were Red Heart, Koa, Leopard, Maple, and Walnut. I cut these all into thin strips and make a laminate/plywood out of them before cutting them down to size to make the scales.

Enjoy!

I Sense a larger story to this statement. :)

I usually decide to mess up my projects, I just don’t usually realize it until after the fact…

Nice knives!

I don’t Mess Up projects , I just make Design Changes. That is my story and I am sticking to it. :)

Have your say...
