Just completed this cherry and curly cherry crib for my daughter. Finished with natural danish oil.

I am taking on the same project, in fact a very similar design. I am however making two of these because my daughter-in-law decided to bless us with twin grandchildren. I am quite interested in the finish. I have been looking at BLO and non-yellowing varnish. please explain the process of finishing with Danish oil.

Fantastic crib, hope it is not a one time use, to own a beautiful crib like that one should be planning many more babies.

Just be sure your top coat finish is edible. First thing babies seem to do after sitting up is chewing through the bars. I used a mineral oil mix that made a nice sheen, dried well and the worst it can do if ingested is give one the trots
