Felt great to finally get into the workshop after a long winter. Eighteen hours of planing, gluing, and sanding – finished two end-grain butcher blocks I’ve been wanting to do all winter. The first and larger butcher block is made from local white birch and has already found its home in My moth-in-laws kitchen (as a BIG thank you for taking my boys on a trip for the entire march break!). The second, smaller butcher block is a modified design of the very talented Sinister (http://lumberjocks.com/Sinister/blog/15087). I’ve been itching to do this all winter!

Absolutely beautiful work.
Thanks for sharing.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
