Built this bed for my daughter. I promised I would build her a loft bed since I built my youngest son a castle bed a few years ago. Took me a couple months to complete. Boy do I hate painting…and sanding.

Posted a lot of extra pics here. I know I enjoy seeing pictures of the progress of projects so I figured I’d post what I had.

After initial sanding. Couldn’t resist reassembling the bed after sanding.

Fantastic! I’ve been thinking of doing something similar for my kids (a boy and a girl) so they could each have something special in their rooms. Would you mind sharing your sketchup model as a starting point for my own modifications?

Very, Very nice work! I know what you mean about painting, and there is alot of it on this project. One question, how in god’s name did you get it up to her room?! lol Thanks for the post, you do great work.

Love the pink. Now it’s time for a trip to the toy store to load up on “Barbie” and all her accessories. The shelves look like they’d make a great doll house.

Are you going to post the bed you made for your son? I am interested in seeing it.

Nice design…...well done. Showed it to my 11 year old daughter and she thought it was cool…..but to pink for her.

Same as Sam… of the castle bed would be neat.

Awesome! Congratulations! Excellent job! My 7 year old daughter saw the bed and wants one for her. Guess I have to do in in SolidWorks.

By far, the best loft bed for a little girl that I have ever seen. Bravo. May she never out grow it, and may your grand daughter use it well!

Really Cool!!! My daughter is 16 now but, she would have absolutely loved a bed like that when she was younger. I’m sure your daughter is very appreciative of you efforts. Awesome job!

I’m in trouble now. My daughter was sitting next to me when she noticed this project. You have done a fantastic job, keep it up. I now have a new task to do.
