Screw Case

I had a bit of spare Birch plywood left over from a previous project and since I didn’t have anywhere to put screws in an organized fashion I decided to make this. Nothing too fancy, I made it something like the old library card holders that you would see before the age of computers. With eight drawers in each, I made two of these units, the drawers come out so I can bring them to the assembly table with me. All of the drawers are labeled on the handle (shop made I may add) with the screw size so I can easily select the drawer I want. The two units fit neatly in the cabinets I have across the back wall and are a lot more pleasing to the eye than a lot of cardboard screw boxes, however as you can see by the screw boxes above the unit, I still have more screws than I have room for.

A great job. Nice design and execution. It’s great to be able to take your screws to the job.

Really neat. Great use of scraps. Much nicer than one of those plastic things from Canadian Tire.

This is a nice project that helps keep your screws organized. I just throw boxes of screws in a drawer and have to search for the box that I need provided, of course, that I have some left. This is a pretty good idea and I am sure you could use more drawers.
