Well, here is my first ever posting on Lumberjocks. What a great site.
With a demanding job and 3 kids active in school and sports, oh how I love to discover projects that can be worked on an hour a day…..started and stopped at a moments notice and still be enjoyable enough to keep me interested. Hence, picture #1 Domino bread board for my sister turning… guessed it, 45. I noticed an original posting by Hans and he was also kind enough to give me some tips on creating a perfect circle inlay.
Picture #2. I think this is an “initiation into Lumberjocks” project. Dynamite clock. Several people have made these and my 12 and 10 year old boys think this is really cool. However it’s going to spend a week or so on my desk at work getting comments.
Final picture. Albino squirell. I hadn’t seen one in my first 39 years of life. Now I have one living in my 175 year old oak tree. Sorry for the poor picture. Just can’t seem to get close enough and keep him still for the picture.

Are you going to tell your sister that this is 2 presents? One for turning 45 and one for later when she turns 54 :) Seriously, very nice stuff. We recently “evicted” an albino squirrel that had been living in an old elm tree. Took the tree down and now there’s a homeless squirrel somewhere around here. You should expect to see one every couple of years. Up here, they seem to appear every couple years.

Unique cutting board. If I were to advertise the LOML age on a board like that, she would whack me with it. haha

Great job. and cool pic of an albino squirrel.

Yup, looks like you are officially lumberjocked. I can see why your boys find that dynamite clock so cool. They are lucky to have a dad who spends his free time thinking of them.

Great job.

Bet it put a smile on Sis’s face.

Did she smack you before, or after she smiled?

I really don’t think reminding your sis of the 54th is a good idea…......when I sent my sis a birthday card stating she was exactly a half century old…....she didn’t talk to me for quite sometime!

Again…..job well done.
