A Live Oak root carving. The Indian and fire are live oak roots, the Indians legs are from bass wood, measures 12”X12”X8”deep. A real pain to carve, it’s actually a burl root, I spent more time sharpening my palm gouges than actually carving this piece. It took 3-yrs to complete since I’d grow bored (tired) after a half hour of working on him.

i love it..good job..if your still bored with it..i can send my address…..some projects like this just take time…but when weve finished..its worth the effort we put in…thanks for sharing it..
