This was a commission piece. The piece is loosely based on a couple of mid-century designs, and I really wanted to somehow incorporate brass, as I like the combination with black walnut.

The frame is black walnut, joined with mortise and tenon joinery. The two trays are curly maple. I used brass rod for the rails around the lower tray, to prevent bottles from tipping off as the cart gets wheeled around.

The finish is several coats of tung oil, polished with paste wax.

Nice cart. Your finish looks great on the maple.

Very nice looking bar cart! I like the walnut/maple/brass combo—really goes well together!
