I came up with this beautiful birdseye maple so I decided the wife needed a 14” serving platter.

Very nice platter. That looks like it was a little scary on the lathe. Well worth the effort.

No, not scary at all. Made this on my “beginner” HF 34706 lathe. Has to be turned outboard due to the diameter.
