This table was loosely based off the woodwhisperer’s design from his end table videos, but I took the shaping a few steps further by tapering the legs with the planer and using a spokeshave to create a high point at the center of the legs. I was going for the appearance of a “floating” top, so I attached the top from the bottom using a 1-1/4 brass rod, connected to the aprons.

dude that is wicked,man I love your creativity with this.the design is over the top,the wood is killer and your finish is spot on,i just wish you would give us a few more pics too really show more of this spectacular piece,cant say enough,so I wont.

I’m still getting used to the site so I am not sure if I am actually replying to you. I just hit “quote” next to your comment and maybe you will see this. Anyways here is one more finished and “professional” shot, and then a few progress shots as well.





Image 3 is flipped upside down in the preview for some reason and I have no idea how to change that, it looks normal on my desktop.
