My large Bosch 12” compound miter saw has been taking up too much table space lately,
and with an upcoming flooring project in the house, I wanted a better
storage/usable arrangement for this beast.
Over the years, I have been saving favorite articles that I come across in various woodworking
magazines, and pulled out an old issue of Fine Woodworking Issue # 209, where they featured
the Miter Saw cabinet with integral dust collection. This plan folds down the wings, and has some
great amenities, just what I was looking for.
And now, with the advent of a bazillion YouTube woodworking channel videos, you
can find other folks who built the same or similar type cabinets.
I was looking for ideas, improvements, etc. and tips for construction, and additions to make it really great.
One of the best that
I found was Feddies website, where he did a great job documenting the entire build process. I highly recommend viewing and subscribing to his channel.
They were great to watch, and very thorough.
The only thing left for me to complete my cabinet, is to add a dedicated vacuum system to the inside of the cabinet.
Right now, I just hook my shopvac to the output pipe…
