Oak Coffee Table?

I started playing with this piece of white oak this afternoon. It’s 13” X 60” X 1.5”. Just narrow enough to fit into my planer. This is my first project with a live edge. I was thinking about a coffee table but I’m not sure its wide enough. What do you all think? Oh, and one other question. As you can see it’s got a rather large knot. What should I do with that? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

You might be able to use epoxy with a little graphite mixed in it. It’ll be dark, but, so is the knot. 13” wide for a coffee table would be slim, but, hey, looks like a nice top for something. Just my 2-cents

i agree with Snipes – a sofa or hall table
can be a floating top or have the legs up through etc
nice piece for sure
