Hi,

This is nr one out of two side tables that I just finished building. Building one table took roughly 150 hour. In total you will find thirteen different kinds of wood in this table. Namely:

Alder
Elm
Purple heart
Beech
Pine
Birds eye maple
Hazel
Mahogany (Honduras and Sipo)
Masurbirch
Plum
Walnut
Apple

You can aslo find a short video about this project here: https://youtu.be/-RKHqrMsfjY

Fantastic work! I really like the design and proportions. I’m very interested in the top. How did you achieve this “woven” look? The thin strips appear to be “laced” or “woven” together—going over and under each other. Very nice detail! Do you have additional pictures or a video to help provide more detail on how you accomplished this? I assume the top is veneer and those lines are also veneer inlays? Wow—just incredible.

Thanks for sharing this project.

Interesting pattern on top. Legs look good too.

Thanks for all kind words :)

I just cut several parallel 2×2 mm groves in the table top and filled it with contrasting wood.

I also did a blog post about this project. You can find it here: http://lumberjocks.com/Schatullmakaren/blog/81034
