Crotch Mahogany Box

My first box. It’s made out of Crotch Mahogany with birdseye maple corner splines that you can’t really see. Currently finished with BLO and I still need to apply the Deft Spray that I’ll be using for the final finish.

There are sooooo many things I’ll be doing differently (hopefully that means better) on the next one I make, but at least everything I do gets a little better each time.

For my first time installing Barrel Hinges, I was veyr please with how well I accomplished that.

Fantastic box. You did the right thing by keeping the design subtle and letting the that beautiful wood do the rest.
