A place to store coffee filters

If you’re like me, the day doesn’t start without coffee. For years I left the filters on the counter conveniently right next to the canister of beans. My fiance started removing the eyesore by putting the filters in the cabinet. Marriage is about compromise right? So I made this box out of bubinga so they can be kept on the counter, without quite the eyesore. The joints are box joints made on my Wandel jig, the bottom is rabbited, and the top features a hole instead of a knob so that we can stack on the box if need be, plus its easier to manipulate the filters without having to set the lid back down. It is finished with tung oil and a buff from steel wool.

Are the photos playing tricks with me? It looks kind of like the sides are beveled, is that true? Very nice box, and a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

-- Chris - Would work, but I'm too busy reading about woodwork.

Thanks! You are correct- the corners and top are rounded over with I think a 1/4”.
