This is my first picture frame. It’s a three-piece frame red outside is Brazilian cherry maple on the inside and Walnut inside. There is about 4 coats of polyurethane clear semi gloss.

When I was in high school, my Dad owned a small beer-n-wine bar back in Florida. We had 2 pool tables and I spent many a night shooting pool with the regulars. When I first started learning one particularly good player sort of took me under his wing and we’d play pretty much any time I was in the bar.

He ALWAYS beat me and he made sure Dad (and most everybody knew it). I remember Dad telling him ”One day John, Joey is gonna beat you fair and square. So dont be too pissed of if you teach him too well.”

And yes, that day came. One Saturday night everybody was lining up quarters on the rails to be next in line and in the rotation I just happened to be up with John. When I sank the 8-ball everybody cheered…. except John. The next day he said to me ”Well, guess I have taught you all you can learn, so we’re done playing”

And the funny thing is, he died about a week later and we never did play again.

Sorry to hijack your post, but that picture and your table brought back a flood of memories.

NICE JOB on the frame !

Great frame.
Great movie, (better than the remake).
Great rec room.

Where did you get that print?

Haven’t played pool for many many years, used to be fairly good, still miss it. No I play chess.

Thanks for sharing your work.
