This dresser has the same construction as my rolling tool chest and office drawer cabinet – mahogany veneer plywood, with a Douglas fir face frame. For the drawer fronts, I found a nice stash of ambrosia maple at a local dealer, and decided to use it. I wanted the grain to run continuously from left to right. The base and legs are white ash, joined with mortise and tenon joinery and screwed to the underside of the case.

The finish is several coats of wipe-on poly, topped with paste wax.

Nice and simple design. Grain looks so good.
