I know this is not your usual wood working project…... However it is a X-mas gift for my parents. They currently use the small plastic pill holders that you can get at any drug store and they leave them on the dinner table to take pills before each of their meals. So I thought why not have something nice to look at if you are going to leave them out on your table all the time. They are made out of African Mahogany and quilted Maple with 7 small compartments inside. They are 14 1/2” long by 2 3/4” wide by 2” tall. the inside is finished with food safe butcher block finish and the outside was finished with the same B.B. finish then a couple of coats of poly. They are very solid and made to last so I put their initials on them for when they get so old they might get confused ….. Just kidding Dad. I hope they like them and don’t take it the wrong way

Hey Chris, Great job. They will love them, I’m sure. It looks like you have a cove transition from bottom to back wall (and front, I presume). Nice functional detail. “We” need that to get the pills out. I might have to make me one unless you have one for me [ “P” ] for Christmas.

Beautiful. Your parents will be reminded of your creativity, craftsmanship and love every day as they take their pills.
