I finally am taking the time to upload some of my recent necklaces.
The first is and oval pendant made of purpleheart with a maple wave.
The second started as the mirror of the first but was cut to a more rectangular shape.
The third and fourth and padauk and narra, again opposites. It was actually a failed inlay attempt (wrong blade angle on my scroll saw) since I had the pieces I figured what would it hurt to glue together. The dusty glue line makes a interesting outline around the inside piece. A friend saw the pieces on my bench and liked the look so it be came a “creative design element” not a mistake, and made a great birthday present.
The fifth is narra, and sixth is bocote. My book club read the book “loving frank” (historical fiction/chick-flick about the married woman Frank Lloyd Wright had an affair with) Inspired by some of the FLW stained glass I designed the pendants that were door prizes at the meeting.
Thanks for looking, any comments are welcome
