I added a simple mobile base to raise the height of the lathe and a small cabinet with drawers to hold my lathe tools.

Lost,

That is an excellent I idea, something that I need to do pretty quick. I just got a lathe and it is driving me nuts because I don’t have a proper place to put things. I don’t know how long it was have taken me to come up this idea on my own.

Lost,

Beautifully built cabinet!!!! And I see that you have a wide range of chisels from which to choose. What are you favorite woods to turn?

Great idea and job on that box!

Nice caabinet and great use of an otherwise wasted space.

Another HF #34706 owner here too! Great idea. Did you have plans you worked from? Does it offer a good amount of ballast / stability?
