I made this bowl out of a slab of Walnut that was 85 years old it was gifted to me buy a friend who found it in his garage . His father apparently cut this tree down and Mill the wood sometime in the seventies.
It’s made from One Piece cutout of concentric circles or almost circles. It’s finished with watco.

Really nicely done. I really like the fact that you made such good use of the wood, nothing wasted. it’s really a fine piece.

to me the age of the wood isn’t as striking as the result of your patience, persistance and talent. Great job and I like the non-round configuration

It’s out of beautiful wood and the bowl turned out so nicely.

Great looking scrolled bowl…next you will have to try the Ring Master. I bought one and love making bowls on it…but I still use my Hegners allot
