I should clarify (and the pictures will show, once Ethan brings the puzzle back) that eight cocobolo pieces are doweled and glued to two of the curly maple “yokes” to form two large pieces. This web page shows all the pieces. http://www.mathematische-basteleien.de/puzzle_cube.htm. Sorry about the lack of specifics.
