I made this for my wife. Maple and cherry with a mahogany inlay and an aspen jewelry tray. I installed a music movement which plays “How Great Thou Art”

I used a Rockler dowel jig to join the legs to the aprons and I cut “vertical splines” for the lid. Im not sure if that is the right name but I like using splines to reinforce miter joints and decided to go with a vertical spline instead of the horizontal type.
