I was asked to frame this picture (already matted) by the Mother in Law. I try to design the frame to match the picture. Since the picture was more modern architecture I tried to match the lines and feel in the steps of the frame. Then since the blue and yellow were already chosen for the mats I decided to go with solid poplar for the material and a black laquer finish. The inlay is epoxy with copper flakes to match the copper on the side of the building.
