Staircase storage

Project by Rob McCune posted 838 days ago 307 views 0 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Some of you might remember when my wife had a little accident and spilled red paint on the staircase carpet. That same staircase had an open area under it that we decided to use for storage. I removed some drywall to see what needed to be done and it turned out I simply had to relocate a stud to one side and there was a perfect opening for a door. I trimmed the opening in and made a raised panel door for it. Some Home Depot hardware and a coat of paint finished it all off.

Good job. A practical woodwork solution.
